Come join us March 5th from 7-9pm for one of our FAVORITE meetings of the year…..”Mama’s Favorite Things”! Please bring 1-2 items that make your life as a mama easier or more fun. Could be something you use for a kid, something you use for yourself, or both! These might also be awesome items that you will be listing for the KSS!
Parenting can be a struggle! Whether you have just one child or many, the daily challenges can be frustrating, aggravating, and even infuriating sometimes. Please join us for our October meeting with Sabrina Sandberg, a local parenting expert and also a mother of twins! She understands firsthand the unique challenges we all face parenting multiples. We hope you can attend, and we are also hoping to go LIVE for this meeting so parenting partners, caregivers, and mamas that can’t get away can benefit from this very informative meeting. We will also have 12 childcare spots avalable. You can check out our speaker’s website here: http://

A Precious Child is devoted to making a positive impact in the lives of disadvantaged and displaced children and families in Colorado by improving their quality of life. During the holidays, A Precious Child collects the top three wishes of children in need and they partner with various organizations and individuals to fulfill each child’s holiday wish! Last year alone, A Precious Child handed out over 10,000 gifts to children and families in need. For more information, check out apreciouschild.org.

Our next meeting, on Sep. 11th, will include a session of Restorative Yoga with a local yoga instructor. “Restorative yoga is a form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. The use of props makes it easier for you to maintain balance while you are stimulating and relaxing your body.” Our instructor will bring props and yoga mats for us to use, but you can also bring your own mat if you have one. Please wear comfortable clothing and prepare to leave feeling relaxed, like you’ve just had a nap! Just 30 minutes of Restorative Yoga can feel like the equivalent of 4 hours of sleep! I challenge you to find a mama that would NOT benefit from this!

What are the most important challenges we face as parents? Our children bring us much joy and love. They also erode the edges of our sanity with their antics – climbing, jumping, shoving in ALL of the food, etc.! In our charge as parents we are tasked with the love and care of our children. Providing a safe environment is challenging at all ages. We can arm ourselves with some essential first aid training for responding to all the bumps and bruises of childhood distributing Band-Aids and kisses. But what about those may-never-in-a-million-years-
Let’s learn to do that together June 5th, 7-9 pm at our monthly meeting at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church (12099 Lowell Blvd, Broomfield). CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is a lifesaving procedure that is done when a person’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped. This may happen after drowning, suffocation, choking, or an injury. CPR-Professional’s will be bringing a non-certification course to our Club. They will also be fielding our first aid and safety questions.
Does keeping your kids busy take up all your time? Would you like to learn some fun new ways to keep your kids occupied and learning and having fun? Join us May 1st for Sherri MacLean’s presentation.
Sherri will be sharing some ways to help keep your children
independently busy and learning on their own, while also preparing them for Kindergarten and older. She is a home-school mother of 4 children and started writing books to help her own children learn and develop independent skills. She will also have with her some examples of hands-on activities that you can make at home for your children.
She has written 20+ books to help families at home with kids of all
ages. Most of them will be on display at the meeting and at the end of her presentation, she will hold a drawing so one lucky mom can win a book of her choice to take home that day. You can check out her website at: www.SherriMacLean.com.

These are a few of my favorite things…..
So mommas what are your favorite things? We’ll have a show and tell style meeting to showcase all of our favorite things: one for surviving your children’s current stage and one for you!
One of my favorite things is tea with friends, sharing my hopes and dreams, and tricks for surviving over a warm mug so we’ll have pots of hot water. Bring a mug and a favorite tea to share.
We’ll also have a presentation by our KSS Board Members. To help as all get ready to tag and sale, volunteer and shop! Seeing everyone’s favorite things will help round out your list of things you might not even know you’ll need yet!
Join us at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church on Monday Feb 6th from 7-9pm. There will be a new member chat at 6pm.
