Summer Art Programs for Children

As summer fast approaches, we’re all trying to find a fun new programs for our children to participate in. Our June meeting features two art based programs:
The Arvada Center for Arts—Manny Gomez: Arvada Center classes attract more than 25,000 participants of all ages from across the metro area each year. You do not have to live in Arvada to take part. They offer over 600 courses a year in the performing arts, dance, music, visual arts, ceramics, photography and the humanities. They are fully equipped with eleven studios and classrooms, three dance studios, a ceramics studio and a photography lab. Programs like ArtSmart introduce youngsters to the arts while our Arts for Ageless Adults program focuses on courses for the mature creative spirit. Visit www.ArvadaCenter.org for more information.
Abrakadoodle—Lisa Kish-Pittman: Abrakadoodle, the popular award-winning art and creativity program was voted “Best Art Class to Bring Out Your Child’s Inner Picasso.” Abrakadoodle offers art camps and art parties for children ages 20 months to 12 years old. Art programs are offered at schools and other convenient community locations thought the mobile art education program or at private and charter schools through the Art in Our World Art Education Program. In Abrakadoodle art classes and programs, children:
- Learn about artist and artist styles,
- Develop new skills,
- Learn about Artist of Distinction,
- Demonstrate art techniques,
- Explore creative art materials, and
